Wilson Hall of Residence is situated on the Auchincruive Estate in the heart of Burns country. Whilst enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside, it is easily accessed by road, rail or air. Auchincruive is a 15-minute drive from Prestwick Airport and only 35 miles from Glasgow Airport. It is also conveniently located on a local bus route and is only 10 minutes from Ayr town centre and all it’s amenities, as well as the local beach.
80 comfortable fully furnished bedrooms are available for let during mid-March to mid-April and also July, August and September. A limited number of twin and family rooms are available on request. Guests have the use of a TV lounge, laundry facilities and kitchens. Shower and bathrooms are shared, with ample on each floor level.
Guests also have access to a variety of on campus leisure activities including the internet. Cyclists, golfers, holiday makers, youth groups and sports groups are all welcome at Wilson Hall. Caterers provide breakfast each morning and lunch is available to buy from Monday to Friday.
At Auchincruive we can also cater for conferences and meetings from 2 to 200 people. Hospitality is available for meetings/conferences etc. – menus on request.

Leisure facilities
While staying in Wilson Hall, you may like to take in the beauty of the campus with a stroll along the woodlands or riverside trails. You could also visit our formal gardens and arboretum or view the tranquil hanging gardens. For the more energetic, a tennis court, fitness trail and 5-a-side pitch are at your disposal, together with a cycle path to Ayr town centre. Round off your tour with a cup of coffee and a scone in the College refectory.
Room rates are:
£17 per night single standard ; £22 with breakfast
£34 per night twin standard ; £44 with breakfast
£17 per person per night family standard ; £22 per person with breakfast
for children under 10 years old:
£9 per night family standard ; £11 with breakfast
