Care Farming
Care Farming Scotland is a new national initiative aimed at using commercial farms and land-based enterprises as a base for promoting mental and physical health and social integration of excluded groups.
A steering group, comprising representatives from industry organisations and the voluntary sector, has been established to support the development of care farming in Scotland and a scoping study has already been undertaken by SAC. This factsheet provides a short summary of the findings of the scoping study, which can be found in full in the reports section.
The Care Farming initiative was officially launched on 19 May 2009 at Ingliston, Edinburgh.
