Sarah Skerratt
Dr Sarah Skerratt is Senior Researcher and Team Leader of the Rural Society Research Team at SAC. Sarah's research specialises on the interface between rural policy and practice, examining local community experiences of European, national and regional policies, programmes and regulations. Sarah has recently begun research into rural leadership and capacity-building and its links with the sustainability or durability of rural community development processes.
Sarah edited the recent Rural Scotland in Focus 2010 report, which is made up of contributions from a number of Rural Policy Centre researchers and from specialists across Scotland. The report provides evidence, commentary and questions for debate on the future of rural Scotland. The report will be updated and published every two years, with interim Briefings and Round Table Debates on selected topics.
