Md. Mofakkarul Islam
Mofakkarul Islam is a Researcher in the Rural Policy Centre.
Mofakkarul Islam joined the Rural Policy Centre in September 2011 to work on a project entitled "Enhancing the impact of SAC on the rural sector: Adopting the innovation systems concept".
Mofa's research focuses on rural extension policies and programmes and theories of extension and innovation. He completed his PhD in 2008 at Massey University in New Zealand on agricultural extension and rural development. Prior to that he worked at Bangladesh Agricultural University. He has also worked on a number of international development projects funded by DFID, the World Bank and Japan International Cooperation.
Mofa is also working on a number of other projects within the Rural Policy Centre, including a meta-analysis of the empirical literature on barriers to the adoption of innovation in agriculture.
