The Rural Policy Centre (RPC) aims to:
- Examine the impact of current policies on rural businesses and communities
- Provide the knowledge required for the development of future rural policies
In order to achieve this, the Centre brings together expertise from across SAC, drawing in staff with experience in research, learning and consultancy.
The RPC's activities and outputs cover the breadth of SAC’s work.
This includes topics such as agricultural competitiveness and productivity, renewable energy, food consumption and marketing, animal welfare, community development and resilience, biodiversity and environmental change.
