Agricultural Systems
SAC Agricultural Systems research is intended to deliver more sustainable systems of food production – systems that are economically viable, but also environmentally and socially acceptable. This is achieved through:
- Systems research at the farm level - investigating farming systems, either experimentally or through modelling
- Research at the disciplinary level - especially in core disciplines in crop, soil and livestock science
- Interdisciplinary research - linking the areas listed above, and others, including economics and socio-economics, environment
