Livestock Research Conference 2007
Conference (opens in new window)
Research underway at SAC, Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland (BioSS) and the Macaulay Institute is delivering new tools and knowledge to help the livestock industries in Scotland and beyond, improve animal welfare, reduce environmental impact and improve economic viability.
This was the message to livestock industry representatives, research funders and scientists as they gathered in Edinburgh at the Moredun Research Institute on 27 March, 2007 to hear about the progress made one year into an ambitious five-year Scottish Government-funded research and development programme.
The event focussed on two SAC-led parts of the programme that deal with animal welfare (Work Package 2.4), and with livestock genetics and management for product quality and sustainability (Work Package 2.5).
Podcasts, presentations and posters are available for each of the two Work Packages.
