Sustainable Ecosystems
The Sustainable Ecosystems team focuses on impacts on the economics, social science and applied ecology of the land-based sector as driven by agricultural reform and the increasing concern for sustainable use of rural natural resources.
This research remit is broad and by definition interdisciplinary. The team has a wide reach into other research groups and divisions within SAC, and maintains a range of collaborative links at national and international levels.
Ecosystem Economics Unit
The ecosystem economics unit is led by Davy McCracken and consists of six research staff and four postgraduate students based at SAC Edinburgh.
Biodiversity Unit
The biodiversity unit is led by Davy McCracken and consists of three research staff and one postgraduate student based at SAC Auchincruive and one postgraduate student based at SAC Edinburgh.
