Land Economy & Environment consists of the following teams.
Sustainable Ecosystems
The Sustainable Ecosystems team focuses on impacts on the economics, social science and applied ecology of the land-based sector as driven by agricultural reform and the increasing concern for sustainable use of rural natural resources.
Food Marketing
The Food Marketing Research team focuses on the study of agri-food marketing issues, ranging from the farm through to the consumer.
Innovation and Behavioural Change
We are a small, interdisciplinary team with expertise in behavioural economics, extension science and psychometric evaluation.
Policy Analysis
The Policy Analysis team does rural policy relevant inter-disciplinary research and associated knowledge transfer.
Rural Society
The Rural Society team focuses on the changing rural social and economic landscape of Scotland, with links also to comparative international research.
