Quality assured by Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) which regulates strict animal welfare, health, feeding and traceability standards.

Our beef cattle are born, reared and finished on our farms in the Pentland Hills. The meat is allowed to slowly mature, ensuring maximum tenderness and flavour. The joints are vacuum-packed to the highest standards by an independent meat processor.

Half lamb packs are butchered and packed to the highest standards by an independent local meat processor. The packs are supplied to order in insulated boxes, chilled or frozen as required. They are hung, chilled and matured with extreme care to preserve tenderness and taste.

Boghall beef, lamb & pork sales are held once a month (generally the first Thursday of each month) at the Beef Sales Room (located directly behind the Sir Stephen Watson Building, opposite the Farms Office) Bush Estate, Penicuik (12.30 – 13.30), and Reception, SAC, Peter Wilson Building, King’s Buildings, West Mains Road, Edinburgh (14.30 – 15.30).

Tasty steak pies and mince rounds are supplied to order with either cooked or uncooked pastry.
