Research Facilities
The ASRC has government-approved modern and flexible research facilities that encompass the key areas of Breeding, Laying, Hatching, Growing and Processing
The facilities can be used for studying nutrition, physiology, behaviour, health and welfare of poultry
Facilities for the following are available:
- Breeding - manipulation of the environment, diet and genotype
- Laying - manipulation of the environment, diet and genotype
- Hatching - manipulation of the environment and/or the egg
- Growing - manipulation of the environment, diet and genotype
- Processing - whole carcass preparation and portioning
There are also opportunities to use the facilities for undergraduate and post-graduate research projects ranging from one or two birds to large-scale production.
