About The ASRC
The Avian Science Research Centre (ASRC) specialises in contract research and consultancy for government and private sectors. Our research and consultancy service is focused on nutrition, health and welfare and we also provide a consultancy service in avian veterinary medicine and environmental audits and impact assessments.
We pride ourselves on:
- having over 20 years experience of undertaking research and consultancy contracts for governments and national and international companies
- the quality of our research and support staff
- our unique combination of facilities which enable all stages of poultry production and processing to be researched
- working to appropriate quality assurance standards (eg (GCP(v), ISO9001(2002))
- working with professional statisticians (BioSS)
- our interdisciplinary working (eg project teams have included economists, ethologists, nutritionists, microbiologists, modellers, physiologists, statisticians and veterinarians)
- having all projects reviewed by an independent experiments appraisal and ethics panel
- being part of SAC, Scotland’s premier academic land-based institute
