About SAC Research
The SAC research programmes are designed to aid the development of the land-based industries, support the sustainability of rural communities, and inform policy makers in the rural sector, both nationally and internationally.
The Research and Development Division has a complement of 230 staff, including more than 100 research scientists.
Our annual spend on research is in excess of £13m which includes Grant-in-Aid from the Scottish Government of £6.4m.
Management
Management Structure
The majority of research staff at SAC are organised into the R&D Division, one of SAC's three Divisions, led by the Head of R&D, who is also a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT).
