Daisy And A Politician On The Pull
Alex Fergusson, MSP, with Daisy the Cow (opens in new window)
Daisy, the life size plastic cow from SAC and the love of Hugh McClymont’s life, has been on duty around the agricultural shows. For the Manager of the Crichton Royal Farm, Daisy is a key part of his committed campaign to tell the public how their food is produced and why it’s important.
Daisy was a tremendous success with visitors young and old alike with her amazing ability to be milked by hand. Among those having a go was SAC Honorary Fellow and the Scottish Parliament’s Presiding Officer, Alex Fergusson, a man who these days is probably more concerned with those milking the system!
Having starred at Open Farm Sunday, Daisy was seen this summer at Dumfries and Lockerbie Agricultural Show on the RHET (Royal Highland Education Trust) Dumfries and Galloway Countryside Initiative stand. She also visited Stewartry Show to assist the local Dunsmuir Vet Practice.
