Ken Rundle tries out SAC's broadcast equipment (opens in new window)
SAC’s Head of Communications, Ken Rundle, was recently awarded the Netherthorpe Communicator of the Year 2009 for outstanding service to agricultural journalism by the Guild of Agricultural Journalists of Great Britain at the Royal Show at Stoneleigh.
The citation reads:
“Ken Rundle’s career has encompassed rural education, radio production and both radio and television broadcasting. Throughout the past quarter of a century, his knowledge of often complicated issues and his ability to explain matters clearly has made him a constant source of reference for other correspondents. He has also done much to build a bridge of understanding and communication between Scotland’s rural and urban populations.
His enthusiasm and ability remain undiminished in his role as Director of Communications for the Scottish Agricultural College where he continues to prove himself an able communicator and a worthy recipient of the Guild of Agricultural Journalists’ most prestigious award.”
