SAC Renewables Expertise on Show
Wind-turbines, Dumfries & Galloway (opens in new window)
Renewable energy experts from SAC Consulting will be offering advice to farmers and landowners when they speak at a major Scottish renewables conference at the end of this month.
Renewable Energy Team Leader Jim Campbell and Senior Consultant Neil Harrison, both from SAC Consulting’s Environment & Design Group, are taking part in the ‘On-Farm Energy Generation Scotland’ event in Edinburgh on 24 November.
Jim will be talking about the key constraints facing the agricultural sector in relation to the development of renewable energy. Issues covered will include the planning process, grid connection issues, changing incentive schemes and finance for pre-planning work.
Neil will provide an update on the various support mechanisms for renewable energy, including the Feed In Tariff scheme which will be halved on 12 December, the soon-to-be-launched Renewable Heat Incentive and Renewable Obligations Certificates (ROCs), which are currently under review.
For more information, visit the Recycling & Waste World website. Farmers quoting SAC are entitled to a 20% discount on the full farmer delegate rate.
