Craibstone Hosts Farming & Science Day

SAC’s Craibstone Campus hosts 5th and 6th year students from all over NE Scotland on Wednesday 15th September. They will be taking part in the “Science of Farming & Countryside Day”, an event organised by the Royal Northern Countryside Initiative.

From 10.15 until 2.30 pm various groups will be taking part in a series of hands on projects devised by SAC staff, demonstrating the role science and business principles play in farming and countryside management.

With the support of the Royal Highland Education Trust and the Royal Northern Agricultural Society and supported by sponsors and food producers in the NE, the day with SAC promises to be a memorable one for the students, if only the quality of the free lunches! On the more serious side the pupils visiting Craibstone will see how their Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Home Economics and Business studies fit with the wider world of the land based sector.
