SAC Hosts Danish Visit
Representatives of the Danish Pig Research Centre (PRC) and the University of Copenhagen (opens in new window)
Representatives of the Danish Pig Research Centre (PRC) and the University of Copenhagen recently visited Edinburgh to meet SAC researchers in the new Roslin Building and Kings Buildings.
They were keen to discuss ongoing collaborative projects and future opportunities, including SAC’s assistance in getting PRC research published in international journals. They heard about the latest progress in SAC pig welfare and behaviour research, in particular on housing sows during pregnancy, farrowing and lactation, and discussed a joint report on issues surrounding large litter size. The next meeting between the three organisations will be in Copenhagen next year.
