SAC Prominent at Major Crops Conference, Dundee

SAC researchers and consultants will be well represented at the forthcoming Conference organised in Dundee by the Association for Crop Protection in Northern Britain. The well established, two day event takes place in the West Park Conference Centre, on 28th and 29th February, it is still open for applications.

Organised by representatives of James Hutton, SAC, SASA, SNH and the Agri Trade in Scotland, the conference agenda addresses a wide range of issues under the banner “Environmental Management and Crop Protection”. The programme of speakers and posters will cover Cropping systems and environment, Soils and Water Protection, Impact of Rural Development Programme, Sustainability, crop protection in cereals, potatoes, and other combinable crops, new technology for diagnostics and integrated crop and pest management, Forecasting, quality assurance and traceability. 

Among those SAC staff with a direct involvement are Fiona Burnett, Davy McCracken, Oliver Knox, Mark Ballingall, Andy Evans, Neil Havis, Dale Walters and Gerry Sadler. Stuart Wale has the tasks of summing up on the final day.
