SAC Outlook On The Road Again In 2010 – Venues Decided
SAC Outlook Roadshow (opens in new window)
The dates and venues are set for this autumn’s series of three SAC Outlook roadshows, taking the latest industry analysis and future forecasts direct to farming and rural business audiences.
As promised, the locations for the events are different from those used in 2009. This year there will be meetings in Oban, Dumfries and Dingwall.
Traditionally, SAC’s Outlook Event has involved a one day conference in Edinburgh, most recently at Murrayfield stadium and designed for policy makers. However, last year it was decided a change was required and Kelso, Thainstone and Stirling were the chosen venues for three evening meetings involving a guest speaker and two SAC expert analysts. There were questions from the floor and a panel discussion.
A similar programme is now being planned for 2010, tailored to the interests of the audience in each area. Each programme will last about two hours followed by light refreshments. The Oban meeting will be in the afternoon while the Dumfries and Dingwall events will take place in the evening. Details of the guest speakers and final programme will be published in due course. Entry will be free.
Monday, 4th October Corran Halls, Oban (2.30 pm – 4.30 pm)
Thursday, 28th October, Cairndale Hotel , Dumfries (7.30 pm – 9.30 pm)
Monday, 1st November, Dingwall & Highland Auction Mart (7.30 pm – 9.30 pm)
