SAC Powers Up For All Energy

Wind energy (opens in new window)

SAC has a larger stand than ever at the All Energy Conference and Exhibition 2010.

It takes place on 19th and 20th May this year at the Aberdeen Conference and Exhibition Centre.  It is the UK’s largest renewable energy show and last year had a total attendance of 5,500 from 60 countries, over 380 exhibitors from 14 countries and more than 250 speakers – covering all aspects of renewable energy.

There will be a special session for the farming community on Wednesday, 19th May  from 4 – 5.30pm.  In 2009 there was a good attendance from farmers and rural businesses and with the growing interest in rural renewable opportunities it is expected that attendance from the agricultural community will again be significant.

SAC have helped put together a programme that will address topical issues for farmers interested in renewable energy development.  This will take place just before the happy hour, reception and giant networking event which may provide a further attraction for farmers!

The SAC stand will reflect growing interest in renewables and covers all types of opportunities including wind, biomass, anaerobic digestion and hydro.  SAC specialists will offer independent advice on all aspects of the renewable energy scene, and look forward to discussing topical issues such as the Feed In Tariff and the introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive and considering how these will affect new developments.

A special feature this year will be an on-going wood energy surgery, allowing visitors to get one-to-one advice on developing wood energy projects.  There is also a a 3D visualisation of wind turbines in the landscape and a straw poll to take place throughout the exhibition asking participants for their views around the development of wind energy.  We will have a draw for those participating in the poll and the lucky winner will receive a token for a renewable energy scoping study with bottles of whisky from one of the windiest distilleries for the runners-up.
