Farm Business Benchmarking

Course Programme

The course objective is to introduce the concept of benchmarking to farm business managers  and how to use the information to improve business profitability.  The focus of the course is whole business benchmarking with the emphasis on analysis at an individual enterprise level.

The course is designed around three tutorial sessions of four hours each.  Trainees will be expected to do some work on their own to obtain maximum benefit from the course.  The tutorials are run at weekly intervals to give continuity and sufficient time for homework.  The third and fourth sessions will have two tutors as the 8-12 trainees are expected to benchmark their own business and may need individual support.  Trainees are provided with relevant comparative data from the Farm Accounts Survey.

Is It For Me?

The training is aimed at farmers, farm managers and estates managers.
