Course Programme

The course objective is to provide an up-to-date review of the management of potato stores.

This is a two day course which covers the theory of potato store management in a series of sessions on the first day.  These sessions are a mixture of lectures, group work and self assessment.  The aim is to provide a background to potato store management upon which the practicalities can be discussed.

The second day focuses on practicalities and includes visits to two contrasting potato stores where course members have to critically analyse all aspects of the potato store and its management.  The course is completed with a practical exercise on design and management of a potato store.
