Is It For Me?

Course aimed at seed potato growers/merchants field staff and anybody who wants an outdoor job for a short time in the summer. Potato roguing is an ideal summer job for people who like working outdoors and is an excellent summer vacation job for students i.e. 4/5/6th year school pupils but especially university/college students at the start of their courses.

Length of Course

Five days - 15th to 21st June. Note that the date of 15th June is provisional, dependent on growth stage of potatoes.

A one-day refresher course on disease and variety recognition will be held on Thursday, 23rd June 2011.

Qualifications Obtained

Certificates will be issued, after examination, to successful students. Once qualified (roguers certificate), students are sure of getting a summer job roguing during their years at university/college.

Course Costs

Five-day course: £282.00 (£235.00 + VAT). ILA funding may be available for this course.

One-day refresher course: £72.00 (£60.00 + VAT)
