Sheep Identification Rules And Sheep Movement Records

Course Programme

A course for anyone who wishes to be confident in keeping sheep or goat records that are required by Scottish legislation, and understand the current tagging rules.

A 3-hour day or evening course designed to explain current tagging and movement regulations, how to complete movement documents, the holding register record of movements and record of veterinary medicine. The session is delivered through simple practical exercises to provide trainees with the confidence to complete records at home.

Approximate cost: £80 (with 75% LMO grant = £20)

  • understand tagging requirements
  • understand movement rules
  • have confidence to complete your own sheep records for SGRPID inspection
  • have confidence to complete veterinary records for Quality Assurance inspection
