Course Programme

The course objective is to enhance the financial control and business management skills of farmers and through this, improve the sustainability and competitiveness of their businesses.

The course will cover:

  • entering bank balances, customer and suppliers opening balances and backing up data
  • checking data, entering invoices, entering supplier information
  • entering receipts
  • reconciling the bank statement
  • processing payments and petty cash
  • checking and reconciling the VAT return
  • trial balances, profit & loss, balance sheet  and budget reports for management purposes

Approximate cost: £240 (with 75% LMO grant = £60)
