This location in Scotland is convenient for access from other parts of Scotland or from northern England with good access by rail, road and air. There is plenty of inexpensive bed and breakfast, guest house or hotel accommodation within walking distance of SAC at King's Buildings. An accommodation list is available. The SAC BASIS training for the BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection (Agriculture) is run by SAC in Edinburgh over the winter period. Minimum recommended attendance is 11 days. Programme: The objective of this course is to provide practical guidance on how composting works and how to make and use compost on farms and holdings.
