With four campuses located in the West of Scotland, James Watt College offers a diverse range of programmes that allows students to choose the location that suits them.

James Watt College courses tend to be 'vocational' or work related, with a strong practical element where students gain hands-on experience to take into the workplace, further enhancing job prospects.Their flexibility allows students to choose to study part-time, full-time, day-release, through Open Learning, On-line Learning, Evening Class or at one of their Community Learning Centres.

James Watt College courses are offered in a wide range of subject areas including: construction, design and media, education, health, hospitality, science, tourism and sport, exercise and outdoor studies.

As James Watt College is located in Ayrshire and has courses which relate well to subjects taught by SAC the links between the two institutions have been strengthened by the signing of an articulation agreement which will assist students from James Watt access further study at SAC.

NC qualifications in Health and Fitness, Sports Studies, Sports Performance, and Outdoor Pursuits may allow entry into Year 1 of SAC's Sports courses, while achievement of an appropriate HNC or HND in Sport and Exercise Science, or Sports Coaching with Development of Sports, may allow entry into year 2 or 3. SAC offers HNC, HND and degree courses in Sport and Recreation Management, Sports Coaching and Development, and Outdoor Pursuits Management.
