SAC Ayr Celebrate 500th Successful SCPLH Candidate
Author: Jill Thomson
Jennifer Stillie, an SAC Ayr 1st Year Sports and Recreation Degree student was the 500th SAC Ayr candidate to gain the Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders [SCPLH].
Although the course mainly attracts publicans, farm shop owners and club managers and many others from the wider hospitality industry, 37 of our own students have taken advantage of the discounted student rate to complete this industry related qualification. The SCPLH is the professional licensing qualification that legally permits individuals to authorise the sale of alcohol.
Jennifer, a young woman from Carluke, is hoping to forge a career in sports and leisure centre management and she knows that this professional award is a necessary qualification for work. The certificate is also a big help for her as a student in finding part time and vacation employment.
SAC Ayr has now been running the course since November 2008 and on the 16th of February 2011 celebrated the course's 500th successful candidate.
