Funding
European Social Fund (ESF)
Funding, provided by the European Social Fund and available to learners in specified areas of Scotland, covers or reduces the fees payable for a number of our courses.
Individual Learning Accounts (ILAs)
Part-Time Fee Grant (Formerly ILA500)
In early 2011, the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning approved delivery and funding of the ILA500 scheme through the Students’ Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 2007, as amended, rather than through the existing ILA regulations.
This change means that from 1 April 2011 the scheme formerly known as ‘ILA500’ will be delivered solely by SAAS as a ‘part-time fee grant’.
Professional and Career Development Loans
A Professional and Career Development Loan (PCDL) could help you to pay for learning that enhances your job skills or career prospects.
Th PCDL is a bank loan, so you’ll have to pay it back once you’ve left your course.
