Design and Construct a Show Garden

A Case Study

Students from SAC Edinburgh won a Silver Gilt medal in 2008 for their "Garden of Illusions" design.

Part or the Garden Design course, the Design and Construct a Show Garden module gives students real hands-on experience in this unusual and demanding skill.

Students all designed a garden on paper, thne voted between them which "winning design" was to be made into reality.

Further design and construction then began, with the final show garden being presented at the Gardening Scotland show in June 2008.

A garden designed by students at SAC Ayr was also designed and constructed for this show and also won a Silver Gilt medal.
