The focus of the tour was to gain a perspective on future methods of precision farming for the arable sector within the UK by attending the Future of Arable Management event at the Exec Exhibition Centre, East of England Showground, Peterborough.

In addition to the Future of Arable Management event, three farm visits were arranged for the group. A visit to New Moor Farm, Walworth Gate, Darlington, County Durham (the home of one of the participants and producers of Archers Jersey Ice Cream) was augmented by return visits to Strawson Ltd., Featherstonehouse Farm, Bilsthorpe and the Dairy Centre, University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington all of which demonstrated agricultural practices new to many on the tour.
