Agriculture and Poultry
Agriculture and Food Production are amongst the UK's major industries.
These industries employ a substantial number of people in the production of basic foodstuffs on farms.
Alongside this, the supply of materials such as feeds and fertilisers to farmers, and the distribution, marketing and sales of agricultural produce to food processors and consumers is also big business.
Many choosing to study agriculture or poultry have a family history in the industry; others make the shrewd observation that we are always going to need food so there will always be opportunities in its production.
