Student Representation
Student Liaison Committees, one at each campus, operate as subcommittees of the SAC Board of Directors.
This gives the student body a direct and formal means of communication with the SAC Board and senior management.
In addition, each course year elects student representatives who meet with staff at the course’s Student Liaison Group to discuss and resolve any matters of concern.
Students are also regularly consulted and views sought on a range of SAC education initiatives. For example, students’ ideas and comments have helped with the design of our undergraduate prospectus.
SAC’s student body is also proactive in encouraging others to join! Students accompany staff to school and UCAS events, agricultural shows and participate in Open Days. We think this is one of the best ways for prospective students, like yourself, to find out what it’s like to be a SAC student.
Our students also work with participants from our widening participation projects such as Aspire North and Lothian Equal Access Programme for Schools (LEAPS), acting as student mentors, giving talks and leading group activities.
