E&D Representatives
Advising on a range of issues that affect our diverse student population, whether on study/work/life balance, disabled access issues, or action to fight discrimination, Equality and Diversity representatives can make a positive difference.
The role of the equality & diversity representatives within SAC are to:
- advise, assist and provide positive support to tutors and students in the implementation of policies and procedures in relation to best practice and legislation;
- liaise with a wide range of organisations in areas such as race relations, disability and gender;
- identify equality issues and develop policies and practices to counter discrimination;
- promote local, national and international equality initiatives and events.
