The City of Edinburgh

Scotland's Capital

Edinburgh has a population of only half a million people of which ten percent are students and offers all that you would expect of a first-class capital city.

The city is perfect for student life; vibrant, and full of activity, yet compact enough to get around easily.

If you enjoy being outside you will be pleased to know that around 50 per cent of Edinburgh is parkland. You can venture up to the castle or Arthur’s Seat or explore the parks and gardens that make up a healthy environment.

Edinburgh is a leading shopping centre enjoying a major retail investment with a wealth of places in which to eat and drink. Nightlife is rich and varied.

There are excellent facilities in the city for all indoor and outdoor sports and enough theatres, concert halls and smaller venues to stage the world-famous Fringe and various arts’ festivals.
