- SAC has published its Gender Equality Scheme and accompanying Action Plan (2006-09).
- This has been drawn up following the requirements of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (as amended by the Equality Act 2006), which places a positive duty on all public bodies, including HEIs, to eliminate discrimination and harassment and to promote equality of opportunity for staff, students and other users of facilities and services.
- The Gender Equality Scheme sets out how SAC will fulfil the new duty.
- Copies of the Gender Equality Scheme can be made available in other formats upon request, such as large print, CD and floppy disk.
