In some circumstances it will be necessary to make a charge for the provision of information. 

SAC has adopted a policy of making the Publication Scheme and the associated information readily accessible via the Internet, thereby minimising the need for fees. 

In addition, where a fee is payable, SAC will issue a fees notice under section 9(1) of the Act.  The notice will state what the prescribed costs are in relation to the request and how the amount of the fee specified in the fees notice has been arrived at.
