Strathfillan Wigwams

Crianlarich Community Woodland, 2-8km - easy, 2km waymarked path and, Crianlarich, 2km - easy. (Additional access to forest track)

A small carpark is sign-posted opposite the Ben More Restaurant, with access to a 1km circular footpath and a further 6km of forest tracks.

The Strathfillan Community Development Trust (SCDT), a local voluntary organisation, established this 4.5 ha native woodland in 1999.  The local community and school have been directly involved in creating this site.

There are good views of Strathfillan and the viaduct carrying the West Highland Line.

Within the site are a range of habitats: grasslands, marsh and bog and regenerating birch and rowan trees.  The area has been sparsely planted to produce an open woodland with a wider range of habitats.
