Alimentary tract disorders
Paratuberculosis (Johne's disease) was diagnosed in a live adult male goat. Acid/alcohol fast bacilli with the morphology of Mycobacterium avium var. paratuberculosis were detected in faeces and the agar gel immunodiffusion test (AGID) for antibodies to M. paratuberculosis gave a positive result.
