Supporting Development Of Third Party Arbitration Courts, Tajikistan - DFID
To establish an arbitration mechanism for the resolution of land and property disputes in support of Tajikistan's land reform programme.
- Establish an effective and sustainable third party arbitration court (TPAC) mechanism for the resolution of land and property disputes in Tajikistan in support of the country’s land reform programme
- Introduce a legal base for operation of a dispute resolution mechanism through TPAC including the possibility of establishment of permanent TPACs
- Confirm acceptance by the Government of Tajikistan of the general principles of TPAC
- Include other donor programmes involved in land reform and poverty reduction in TPAC dissemination and access
- Establish an association of TPAC judges and secretaries
- Establish an affordable mechanism for the monitoring of TPAC impact and quality
- Involve Tajik higher education institutes in the development of TPAC training modules for internal and external students
- Create an accessible and affordable TPAC delivery mechanism on a sustainable basis using the experience of TPAC provision in the wider region
- Support the wider programmes of rural development, land reform and poverty reduction
