Cross Compliance - Scotland
About This Website
CcELIS (the Cross Compliance ELectronic Information System) provides a summary of cross compliance standards in Scotland and can be used for reference or training purposes.
This website informs farmers and other Single Farm Payment (SFP) recipients of their cross compliance obligations in relation to Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition (GAEC) and Statutory Management Regulations (SMRs).
The 2005 reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) set out standardised requirements known as cross compliance. Farm businesses must meet cross compliance standards as a condition of receiving grant support under a number of schemes including the Single Farm Payment Scheme, Scottish Beef Calf Scheme and certain measures under the Scottish Rural Development Programme. Cross compliance applies to all land within an agricultural business.
CcELIS should be used in conjunction with the Scottish Government's series of Information Leaflets on the Single Farm Payment Scheme and Guidance Notes for cross compliance. These can be obtained by clicking the link to the Scottish Government website on the right hand side of this page.
Please note you require the free Flash Player in order to use CcELIS (if required, you can download this via the "Download Flash Player" link on this page). CcELIS also has narration, so ensure you have your computer's sound switched on.
