Norfolk & Suffolk BVD Control Scheme
Introduction
The Premium Cattle Health Scheme has been awarded the contract to run the Norfolk and Suffolk BVD Control programme. This project was initiated by the Holstein clubs of Norfolk and Suffolk and was initially to involve herds registered with Holstein UK, but such has been the interest that many other herds in the region now wish to participate. The tender process was overseen by a team led by Professor Joe Brownlie of the Royal Veterinary College. Premium Cattle Health Scheme won in competition with other cattle health scheme providers and veterinary laboratories.
