Organic Farming

A CD-based short course for farmers, farm staff and trade representatives that’s been created by a well-known team of experts from SAC that includes David Younie, Christine Watson and Audrey Litterick.

SAC can now offer you an opportunity to increase your knowledge of the principles and practices of organic farming with a short course that:

• Can be completed in 12 to 16 hours at a place and pace that suits you.
• Includes eight sections, including sections on crop rotation, grass and forage management, crop and livestock husbandry, as well as conversion planning and profitability.
• Offers SAC specialist mentor support
• No academic entry requirements
• Is available exclusively in Scotland through SAC at a cost of only £250.
• Financial support from European Social Fund can in many instances reduce the cost of the course to micro, small and medium sized businesses to just £20.
