Organic Farming

SAC runs one-day participative training courses for farmers, vets and others, on a range of organic farming subjects.

These include:

• Converting to organic farming
• Converting to organic livestock production
• Developing an organic Animal Health Plan (AHP)
• Converting to organic arable rotations

These courses usually run from 10.00am until 4.30pm, with 10-15 trainees, and adopt a very participative approach.

The courses often attract European Social Fund support and course fee is normally around £45 (including lunch, handouts, etc).
