Which non-organic poultry and pig manures are allowed to be brought in?

Under the conditions set out in question: On what basis do the standards permit the importation of manures from non-organic sources?

Poultry manure:

  • From free range or deep litter egg systems (max density seven birds/m²), after composting for six months or stacked for 12 months
  • From free range or barn reared (max density 12 birds or 25kg/m²) poultry meat systems, after composting for six months or stacked for 12 months

Pig manure:

  • From straw-based finishing systems, after composting for six months or stacked for 12 months.
