Organic Farming

Organic farming has been a major activity at SAC since 1986. SAC has its own organic farm for research and demonstration purposes and also has close links with many commercial organic farms. It has had a major organic farming research programme since 1986 and provides impartial advice on organic farming.

SAC's part-time distance learning Postgraduate Diploma in organic farming was the first of its kind in the UK.

The SAC organic farming website is a free information resource for organic farmers and for farmers thinking about converting to organic.

It provides answers to frequently asked questions on organic farming, and free access to an electronic information pack for converting farmers and to a range of advisory leaflets in our Organic Farming Technical Summary series.
