FeedByte Rationing
SAC created and maintains the FeedByte rationing software which is widely used throughout the UK by feed companies.  FeedByte is regularly updated with the latest nutritional equations for intake, protein and energy requirements as well as mineral demands, based on the latest research from all over the UK. FeedByte provides rations for ruminant livestock, and is heavily used every year for all classes of dairy stock, from rearing youngstock to cows in milk and dry cows.

Milk Manager Costing
SAC Milk Manager is available as a postal service or as an interactive system over the Internet.  This system records physical and financial information to assist in herd management and planning decisions, as well as benchmarking of herd indicators with progressive dairy enterprises in the UK to help with performance measurement.  Copies of Milk Manager Notes are received quarterly with a summary of topical milk industry facts, figures and advice.

Milk Quota Manager
Assisting dairy farmers in optimising existing milk quota and in making decisions on additional or future quota requirements. Clients can enter their information over the Internet from their own PC or use the postal service.  The service also includes milk production profile forecasting.

MilkNET
MilkNET is SAC’s Dairy Internet Service.  MilkNET includes Milk Manager and Milk Quota Manager.  Using the latest technology, subscribers will have fast and efficient access to SAC information. In addition MilkNET includes the following items:

• Topical Tips - access to regularly updated topical tips, from simple reminders to detailed recommendations
• SAC Technical and Research Notes - keeping up to date on latest research is always useful. MilkNET provides SAC Technical Notes and Research updates on a regular basis and these are available to download and print
