Grampian Rural Business Women's Group
The SAC Food & Drink Team, contracted by Scottish Enterprise Grampian, has managed the Rural Women Business Group since 2002.
The purpose of this group is to create a network in the Grampian area for farm women to increase their key business skills, assist business development and provide a networking forum for the women.
The SAC project manager has good experience in rural women work, project managing the co-ordination of speakers meetings and visits, event co-ordination and administration of the project.
Scottish Enterprise Graduate into Food Business Programme
The SAC Food & Drink Team, contracted by Scottish Enterprise, managed the Graduate into Food Business Programme from 2000 to 2006.
The programme aimed to increase business development by improving the performance of small to medium sized food companies in Scotland through the placement of graduates.
The programme involved graduate and business promotion and recruitment, project scoping and matching, graduate interviewing, project monitoring, graduate mentoring and delivery of soft skills training.
Feasibility Study to Consider the Direct Marketing of Estate Produce
The SAC Food & Drink Team under took a feasibility study to determine the viability of adding value to game and other Estate produce through direct marketing.
The study also considered plans to establish a farm shop, catering kitchen with demonstration facilities and a tearoom at the heart of the Estate in Aberdeenshire.
