Budget & Monitor
A farm budget is the most important element of a sound business management system for all farm businesses.
The budget is prepared at the start of the year and includes:
- 12-month cashflow
- Profit and loss account
- Balance sheet
Your actual results are then used to update the budget through the year, allowing you to monitor performance, make informed decisions, and exercise effective cost control.
With a series of forecasts throughout the year, the business can identify and avoid pitfalls, and take advantage of opportunities when they are identified. At the end of the year your management profit is known early and planning the next year is that bit easier.
Budget and Monitor puts you in control of your business performance throughout the year.
